Tell me about HMT Limited

HMT Limited is a  Government of India undertaking company having its registered office at No.59, Bellary Road, Bangalore-560 032. 

Is user registration with you mandatory?

Yes. The user has to register into our online shop as it makes shopping an easier and better experience.

Can I edit information about me?

Yes, you can update your information any time after creating your account. To do this, login first and then click on your name, make the changes, and click on update. However, Date of Birth cannot be changed after your registration.

How is my personal information safeguarded?

We ensure that we will maintain the confidentiality of the customer details / information shared with us.

My transaction was not successful but the amount has been deducted from my account. What is the procedure to get the refund?

Please write to us at watches@hmtindia.com and provide all the details. Action will be initiated immediately to refund the amount.

How do I collect my product?

Our Courier partner will deliver the product to you at the address provided by you. You may collect it after signing the acknowledgement. In case the recipient is not available to collect the product ,the courier person will try to contact the recipient through the contact number provided by you to intimate the recipient of the delivery.
The customer should possess any one of the following documents as ID proof to take delivery of the product:
- PAN Card
-Driving License
-Passport
- Voter ID Card
- Aadhar Card

Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel the orders that have not been processed /approved/shipped by us in which case we shall cancel the order.Please be aware that a Cancellation Fee will be deducted from the total amount collected to cover payment gateway costs. This fee can range from 0.5% to 2.5% of the total amount collected depending on the mode of transaction. The right to decide whether the order can be cancelled or not lies entirely with HMT Limited and the customer agrees not to dispute the decision of HMT Limited regarding cancellation.

How can I cancel my order?

You can send your request to cancel the order to us .Go to My Accounts->My Orders, click on Request Cancellation against the order to be cancelled, fill in the details and submit your request. We shall email you the action taken and initiate cancellation/ refund process in case the order can be cancelled.

How can I get the refund for cancelled orders?

Once the order is cancelled by us, refund process will be initiated. The amount will be refunded to your account through which the transaction will be made within 10-15 working days. Please be aware that a Cancellation Fee will be deducted from the total amount collected to cover payment gateway costs. This fee can range from 0.5% to 2.5% of the total amount collected depending on the mode of transaction. However, shipping costs will also be subtracted from the total payment if the product has already been dispatched and the user has been requested to cancel.

Returns :-

I have received a wrong/ faulty / damaged product .What should I do?

In order to return a wrong/faulty/ damaged product
- Go to My Account > My orders>Request for replacement
- Register your complaint filling in the details and attaching the image of the faulty / damaged product
- Upon confirmation by us, pack the product adequately and courier back to us  filling in the courier details within 2 days of receiving the confirmation .
- The product received shall be inspected and replaced if found wrong/faulty/ damaged .

What are the terms and conditions for return/replacement?

15 Days Replacement/Refund

HMT Wrist Watches are  eligible for return/replacement  within 15 days of delivery. You can avail replacement, in an unlikely event of damaged, defective or different item delivered to you. 

In order to replace a wrong/faulty/ damaged product

- Products must be in their original condition
- Products must be unused, unaltered, unsoiled, not tampered with and sent with their original tags intact.
- Upon receipt of the product by us, it will be subjected to checking to ascertain that the product sent by us has not been altered, tampered or replaced.
- If the check is successful, action will be initiated to replace the product subjected to availability of the product.
- In case the product is not available, action will be initiated to refund the amount.

What are the different payment modes for online purchase of HMT watches?

The following modes of payment options are available for placing orders
- Credit card (Visa/ Mastercard/ Amex/JCB)
- Debit card (Mastercard/Visa/Maestro)
- Net banking (For all leading banks )
- UPI

How does online payment work?

Once you select the payment method, the financial information entered by you will be directly authorized by your respective bank/credit/debit card company. Once we receive their clearance, your order will be processed and you will receive a communication for the same.

How secure is the financial details provided by me for online payment?

The financial details entered by the customers is received and processed by a leading third party payment gateway service provider who has adopted PCI-DSS 2.0 standards of compliance making it one of the most secure payment gateway in the world. It uses industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology for customer data encryption and follows strict in-house security guidelines to ensure confidentiality of customer information .

Which are the locations where shipping is done by you?

We deliver our products to most of the cities within India.  If there is no courier service available in your area, we do apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Do you accept international deliveries?

No. Currently we cater to only shipments within India.

What are the shipping/delivery charges?
